NextGen CISO - Black Hat Las Vegas

The move to CISO is the hardest jump in your career. The rules of the game completely change the moment you hit the executive floor and nobody hands you a manual.

We've gathered the world's most respected security leaders to change that.

NextGen CISO is a half-day Forum (of panels, presentations, and breakout sessions) designed exclusively for the next generation of security executives (nominated by sitting CISOs who believe you're ready for the role). This isn't a conference. There are no vendor pitches, no panels for the sake of panels. Just the hard-won lessons, unwritten rules, and honest conversations that most people only get years into the job - if ever.

What to expect:

1. ***We are building the agenda now***
2. The Road to the Chair — Caleb Sima (Founding General Partner - WhiteRabbit) + Chaim Mazal (CISO - GitLab)
3. First 90 Days — Nicole Grinstead (CISO - Roblox) + Jake Schroeder (CISO - LVT)
4. On the Hook — David Hirsch (Former Head of SEC Cyber / Crypto Enforcement)
5. The State of the Search — Michael Piacente (Managing Partner - Hitch Partners) + Tom Alcock (Founder and Managing Partner - Code Red Partners)
6. The Job at the Frontier — Bil Harmer (CISO - Supabase) + Aaron Brown (Head of Security - Mercor)
7. Open Q&A with the room

Who's in the room:

Attendance is by nomination only. Current CISOs nominate their top successors, the practitioners they believe are ready to make the jump. If you're here, someone vouched for you.

Following this event:

Attendees are invited to continue the conversation at The Construct → — an exclusive evening reception immediately following the Forum.
